Katie Williams trained as an Actor at UNE and as a Puppet Maker at the National Institute of Dramatic Art. Whilst living in Australia, Katie worked professionally as a Puppeteer for Theatre and also as a Physical Theatre Performer with Zen Zen Zo Physical Theatre.
Katie relocated to the UK two and a half years ago to pursue a career in Puppetry, as a Puppeteer and Puppet Maker. Since moving to the UK, she has worked professionally as a Puppet Maker for film and television, including Wes Anderson’s stop motion feature ‘Isle of Dogs’ and for Aardman Animation. Katie has further developed her skills as a Puppeteer by training with the Curious School of Puppetry. Working with some of the best in the industry (Sarah Wright, Ronnie Le-Drew & Toby Olie), Katie trained professionally in Table-top, Hand & Rod, Marionettes & Glove Puppetry for both theatre and screen.
Most recently Katie worked as an Assistant Puppeteer for an Ed Sheeran ‘Happier’ teaser promo for Atlantic Records.
